Surfhouse Merewether Wedding

The beautiful Surfhouse Merewether wedding of Louise & Chris would have to be one of my favourite Newcastle wedding to date, and was an amazing Newcastle wedding to be a part of.

Their wedding ceremony was held outdoors at Burwood Rotunda in Whitebridge. After the ceremony we even ventured into the backstreet if Newcastle and created some pretty cool images, before heading over to the wedding reception which was at Merewether Surfhouse.

Merewether Surfhouse Weddings

Merewether Surfhouse is one of Newcastle’s best-known beachfront wedding venues, with sweeping views over Merewether Beach and the coastline. Its modern reception spaces, large windows and ocean outlook make it a great option for couples wanting a relaxed coastal wedding without being far from Newcastle CBD.

One of the biggest advantages of a Merewether Surfhouse wedding is the number of photography locations close by. Merewether Beach, the ocean baths, coastal paths and surrounding headlands all provide plenty of variety for wedding photos, often without needing to spend much time travelling between locations.

The venue also works particularly well later in the afternoon, when couples can head outside for a few sunset photos along the beach before returning straight to the reception. The combination of ocean views, modern interiors and easy access to the coastline gives the venue a very distinctive Newcastle feel.
