3 Amazing Tamworth Wedding Venues

I have photographed heaps of weddings over the years and so I know what sets an amazing venue apart from an average one.

Located in the heart of New South Wales, Tamworth is a town that’s steeped in history, culture, and natural beauty. It’s known for its rolling hills, picturesque countryside, and friendly locals. It’s located about 420 kilometres north of Sydney and 600 kilometres south of Brisbane. But what sets Tamworth apart from other towns in Australia is its unique wedding venues that cater to all kinds of budgets and tastes.

Here is my list of 3 amazing Tamworth wedding venues. Some of these venues I have photographed weddings at, and some are on my bucket list of places I would love to photograph.

1.    Kumbogie Woolshed

Shadowed by the Moonbi ranges, Kumbogie Woolshed is a relatively new venue that would make your ceremony no less than perfect. It provides you with rustic country charm and lies just outside of Tamworth. 

This venue specializes in weddings as well as corporate functions. For fully seated facilities, they accommodate up to 80 guests, and for cocktail-style function, the capacity is for up to 125 people. Thus, it is an ideal venue for intimate weddings.

This beautiful family-run venue is clean and well-maintained and sets the foundation for a perfect rustic country wedding theme! The family ensures to do every possible thing to enrich your experience and make the day extra special. Kumbogie Woolshed has some sheep, chickens, and adorable Scottish Highland cows.

The DJ and the vibes around the dance floor will make you dance the night away. The venue gets booked fast, which is why it is open for 2022 as well. 2. Goonoo Goonoo Station

At Goonoo Goonoo station, they offer you two different ceremony locations and accommodations. For the pre-dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception, the North West’s most historic Goonoo Goonoo station is the ideal location. They offer premium service, privacy and quality to make your even unforgettable.

For the reception, Goonoo Goonoo Station is the only three gable Woolstore in Australia and can accommodate up to 160 people as guests for comfortable seating. They can accommodate about 54 guests in 7 buildings. The chefs can offer delicacies from the high-quality produce.

You can customize your reception to meet your requirements or choose from an existing package from various available packages. 

Goonoo Goonoo Station has many options to serve you with different spaces for your ceremony, like their parkland that was renovated with award-winning landscapers and c.1890 Chapel, which got restored beautifully. You can easily reach this magnificent and historical place is located a short distance away from Tamworth.

3. Tangaratta Vineyards 

Tangaratta Vineyards is nestled in the tranquil Peel Valley, only 15 minutes away from Tamworth, and is the ideal venue for a classic wedding. It is a very special place for your very special day. It has three different spaces like a chapel, lawn, and indoor seating facilities for the reception. 

The Pyre chapel has a tranquil ambiance that makes the vows exchange custom peaceful and elegant. It is surrounded by vines and gardens and allows you to click some intimate pictures in the beautiful settings. It can facilitate the seating of approximately 80 people on pews and up to 110 with standing room. Although you can enjoy canapés and champagne on the lawns, you can hold the reception in a more spacious area.

If you wish to exchange the vows in an open area or an outdoor setting, you can consider booking their lawn. For the reception, they have an idea that can accommodate a seating of 220 guests and can offer various beverages and wines.
