I feel like I have the absolute best job in the world. Every week I get to travel to beautiful locations around Australia and capture the most amazing day in a couples life. It is so special to me to be able to photograph such important moments. From an artistic point of view, weddings really allow me to push myself creatively to create images that are totally unique to each couple. And I absolutely love meeting couples, finding out their story and capturing them and their amazing day.

Are you looking for a fun, chilled and awesome Byron Bay wedding photographer? I’m Adam and I shoot weddings all over the region. Together with the help of my lovely wife Kim, who runs the day to day business and is the main point of contact in the lead up to the wedding, we are Cavanagh Photography.

We are currently based on the northern end of the Central Coast NSW. And I photograph weddings all over Australia and Byron Bay is definitely one of those destinations I would absolutely love to photograph. My philosophy and approach to photographing weddings is to document the day as naturally and candidly as possible. I absolutely hate anything cheesy! We want the day to be real and honest without contriving moments. I love shooting candidly as it allows you to relax and be yourselves and allows me to capture spontaneous moments throughout the day and night. I also believe a relaxed, happy couple makes for beautiful photos.

I love to travel and shooting weddings in new and different places all over Australia. I love to capture the story of the wedding day in the beauty and landscape of your location. I have also been lucky enough travel around Australia and a few overseas for destination weddings and elopements including stunning tropical weddings in Fiji & Bali.

Byron Bay is a coastal town located in the far north coast of New South Wales. It is Australia’s most easterly point and photography-wise, it is known for it’s picturesque and iconic Cape Byron lighthouse. And this place is an absolutely amazing place to have your wedding. It is actually the second most popular location for a wedding behind Sydney.

When to get married in Byron Bay?

The Byron Bay region is extremely popular for tourists, festivals and also for weddings, elopements and honeymoons, particularly around holiday periods. It is actually the second most popular location for a wedding behind Sydney. So wedding venues, suppliers and accommodation tend to book out quickly. So when planning your wedding, book it way in advance or try to choose more off-peak times. It might even reduce the cost for you.

The other thing to consider is the climate. Byron Bay is a humid subtropical climate, meaning the summers are hot and humid and winters are cool and mild. In regards to rainfall, it also means that they have drier winters and wetter summers.

To the scenic coastline with venues like The Belongil, Barefoot at Broken Head and Byron Bay Surf House. There are so many quality choices for your wedding venue.
