Bride & Groom walking around Greyleigh Kiama wedding

Greyleigh Kiama wedding

When it comes to breathtaking wedding locations, Greyleigh Kiama is truly a gem and an amazing wedding venue. Nestled high up in the lush landscapes of Kiama, this South Coast wedding venue provided the perfect backdrop for Jenni and Dean’s unforgettable wedding day. From getting ready to dancing under the stars, every moment was a blend of elegance and charm.

The day began with anticipation and excitement as Dean prepared at a nearby property in Kiama. With his family by his side, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy. Meanwhile, Jenni embraced the serene beauty of Greyleigh, getting ready onsite. The vintage charm of the accommodation at Greyleigh added a touch of nostalgia to her preparations. Jenni’s morning was a beautiful mix of calm and excitement.

The Ceremony on ‘The Lawn’

The couple chose ‘The Lawn’ at Greyleigh for their ceremony, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The lush green expanse, framed by rolling hills and distant ocean views, set a picturesque scene. As Jenni walked down the aisle, escorted by her father, the sight was nothing short of magical. Dean’s eyes welled up with tears as he saw his bride, and there wasn’t a dry eye among the guests. The vows exchanged were heartfelt, promising a lifetime of love and adventure.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took advantage of Greyleigh’s stunning surroundings for their photo session. Greyleigh Kiama’s rustic charm, with its heritage buildings, picturesque gardens, and panoramic views, offered countless photo opportunities. Jenni and Dean wandered hand in hand, capturing moments that would become timeless memories. It is one of the most beautiful properties I have had the pleasure of shooting at.

An Intimate Reception Under the Stars

The wedding reception was an intimate affair, held outdoors under a canopy of twinkling fairy lights. One long table stretched out under the night sky, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for the guests. The table was adorned with elegant floral arrangements, candles, and personalized touches that reflected Jenni and Dean’s unique style. The intimate setting allowed for heartfelt toasts, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

The couple’s first dance was a highlight of the evening. Under the soft glow of the fairy lights, Jenni and Dean swayed to their favourite song, surrounded by their loved ones. The night continued with delicious food, music, and dancing, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

Greyleigh Kiama: A Perfect Blend of History, Beauty, and Elegance for Your Wedding

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of stunning venues, but Greyleigh Kiama is something truly special. If you’re a couple dreaming of a picture-perfect wedding with a mix of history, natural beauty, and a dash of rustic charm, this place should be at the top of your list.

History and Beauty Combined

One of the things that make Greyleigh stand out is the perfect blend of history and natural beauty. While the property dates back to the late 1800s and features beautifully restored original buildings, it’s the immaculate gardens that truly steal the show. Everywhere you look, there are stunning blooms and lush greenery, creating a picturesque setting that enhances every photo. The combination of vintage charm and well-maintained gardens offers endless opportunities for capturing beautiful moments, from intimate couple shots to group photos with a backdrop that’s nothing short of spectacular.

Greyleigh’s location is another major win. Tucked away just a short drive from the charming town of Kiama, it’s the perfect blend of convenience and seclusion. You get the best of both worlds: easy access for your guests and a peaceful, private setting for your big day. The rolling hills, lush greenery, and panoramic ocean views are just begging to be captured on camera. Every direction you turn, there’s a stunning vista ready to be the backdrop for your wedding memories.

Facilities That Wow

When it comes to facilities, Greyleigh really has it all. For starters, there are several charming accommodation options right on the property. Whether it’s beautifully restored cottages or the main farmhouse, your guests can stay close by and enjoy the full experience. From a photographer’s perspective, this is gold. It means I can capture those intimate getting-ready moments without the hassle of travelling between locations.

The Lawn is a top choice for outdoor ceremonies, and for good reason. It’s a gorgeous, expansive green space with views that stretch forever. But there are some other equally as gorgeous locations where you can have your ceremony as well.

Reception Perfection at The Gables

Jenni & Dean chose to have their small wedding outdoors, but there is an option for a larger, more traditional wedding space… For your reception, Greyleigh’s The Gables is a standout choice. Originally a dairy shed from the 1800s, it has been transformed into a stunning indoor venue. This space features two historic concrete silos converted into modern cocktail lounges with fireplaces and skylights. Accommodating up to 200 guests, The Gables offers a unique blend of rustic charm and contemporary elegance, making it an ideal setting for a magical country wedding.

Greyleigh Kiama Wedding Venue

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that offers stunning visuals, rich history, and exceptional facilities, Greyleigh Kiama is a fantastic choice. From a photographer’s point of view, it’s a place where every moment and every detail can be captured beautifully. It is just so so beautiful! And I can’t wait to get back there to shoot another wedding.
