Balmoral Beach Wedding

Rachel & Brendan are two of the most relaxed and easy going people and their Balmoral Beach wedding was an amazing day to be a part of.

They both got ready in the city in the same apartment block, just in different rooms on different floors. The wedding ceremony was held at Balmoral Beach on Rocky Point Island. After the ceremony we wondered around Balmoral for photos before walking down to their reception venue which was at Public Dining Room.

Public Dining Room Weddings

Public Dining Room is a waterfront wedding venue on Balmoral Beach in Mosman, with views across Middle Harbour towards North Head and Manly. It is a great option for couples wanting a Sydney wedding venue that feels coastal and relaxed, while still being only a short drive from the CBD.

Weddings can be held in several different spaces depending on the size of the celebration. The Private Dining Room suits smaller weddings, the Terrace works well for intimate ceremonies or receptions, and exclusive use of the restaurant can accommodate up to 110 seated guests or 135 for a cocktail-style wedding.

For wedding photography, the location is one of the biggest advantages. Balmoral Beach, the promenade, surrounding parkland and harbour views are all right outside the venue, so couples can get a good variety of photos without spending a large part of the afternoon travelling around Sydney. The waterfront deck and floor-to-ceiling windows also mean the harbour setting remains a big part of the wedding even once everyone moves inside.

Public Dining Room also suits couples who want the food to be an important part of the reception. The restaurant focuses on seasonal Australian produce, seafood and a contemporary fine-dining style, which gives the wedding a slightly more restaurant-led feel than a traditional function venue.
