Hey I’m Adam…

I’ve been photographing weddings around NSW and Australia for more than 15 years, and Mudgee is one of those places I always love coming back to. Beautiful vineyards, old country properties, rolling hills, huge skies and some seriously good food and wine make it an incredible destination for a wedding.

My approach to wedding photography is pretty simple. I want you to spend your wedding day actually enjoying yourselves.

I’ll document the nerves, laughter, ridiculous moments, hugs, tears and everything happening around you without constantly interrupting the day or asking you to pose.

Then, when the light is beautiful, we’ll disappear for a little while and create some amazing portraits together.

Mudgee has become one of NSW’s great destination wedding regions, particularly for couples wanting a relaxed country wedding surrounded by vineyards and open countryside. There’s also a huge amount of photographic variety.

One minute we can be shooting amongst the vines and the next we’re standing in a paddock with nothing but rolling hills and an enormous country sky behind you.That variety is one of the things I love about photographing weddings here.

I photograph most of a wedding day in a documentary style. Rather than manufacturing moments, I’m looking for the moments already happening around me. Your parents seeing you dressed for the first time. Your partner’s reaction as you walk into the ceremony. Someone completely losing it during the speeches. Your grandparents dancing. Kids doing something hilarious in the background. Your friends celebrating with you on the dance floor. Those little moments often become some of the most important photographs from the entire wedding.

Why Mudgee is Great for Wedding Photos

Mudgee gives you plenty of variety without needing to travel far. Vineyards, open paddocks, country properties, long driveways and big western skies all work beautifully for wedding photography.

I usually prefer to keep photos close to the venue so you aren’t spending a large part of the afternoon driving around. If the light looks great later in the day, we can duck outside for ten minutes around sunset and then get you straight back to your guests.

Most couples tell me they don’t feel comfortable posing for photos, which is completely normal.

For most of the day, I photograph things as they happen. During your couple portraits I’ll give you some simple direction when needed, but I’m not interested in making you work through a long list of poses.

The goal is to create photographs that still feel like you.
