Soldiers Beach Wedding Central Coast
The Soldiers Beach wedding on the Central Coast, of Kylie & Ben was an amazing day to be a part of. And it was actually extra special for me because I got to shoot around some locations in my local area. As we are Central Coast wedding photographers, we shooting at our local wedding venues on the Central Coast.
Kylie & Ben booked us almost two years ago so it was exciting to have their big day finally come around. The wedding ceremony was held at St Cecilia’s Church Wyong and the reception was held Soldiers Beach Surf Club overlooking the beach. I’ve always thought the Central Coast is one of the most beautiful and under rated places, so it was great that we were also able to go to a few locations after the ceremony to get photos of these two beautiful people.
We really hope you enjoy this Soldiers Beach wedding central coast below… so sit back and enjoy the story of their day.

Soldiers Beach Weddings
Soldiers Beach is one of the most beautiful coastal wedding locations on the Central Coast. Located at Norah Head, the beach combines a long stretch of sand with rocky headlands, dunes and uninterrupted ocean views. For couples wanting a relaxed coastal wedding, it’s a fantastic location and offers a completely different feel to the garden and country wedding venues found elsewhere around the Central Coast.
Dunes at Soldiers Beach Club sits directly above the beach and is a popular option for couples wanting to have their ceremony and reception overlooking the ocean. The reception space has large windows and an elevated position looking across Soldiers Beach, while the beach itself is only a short walk away for wedding photos. The venue currently caters for weddings of up to around 144 guests.
Wedding Photography at Soldiers Beach
From a photography point of view, a Soldiers Beach wedding gives us plenty of variety without having to travel far. We can photograph along the beach, amongst the dunes, around the rocky coastline and on the headland, with the ocean providing an amazing backdrop in almost every direction. Late afternoon is particularly beautiful when the light starts to soften and we can head down onto the sand for some relaxed photos away from the reception.
Another big advantage is having Norah Head Lighthouse just around the corner. It’s one of the Central Coast’s most recognisable locations and gives us another completely different option for wedding photography, with the lighthouse, coastal cliffs, walking tracks and surrounding bushland all within a few minutes of Soldiers Beach.
For couples dreaming of a relaxed Central Coast beach wedding, Soldiers Beach is hard to beat. Being able to have the ceremony and reception overlooking the coastline and then walk straight onto the beach for photos makes the day simple, while still giving us plenty of opportunities to create really varied wedding photographs.
