Hey I’m Adam, a Central Coast wedding photographer offering fun, natural & awesome wedding photography in NSW & around Australia. 

I’m all about capturing couples in a relaxed, unobtrusive way with a bit of awesome!!

Candid, natural and relaxed wedding photography is what we are all about. I am Adam the main photographer and together with the help of my lovely wife Kim, we are Cavanagh Photography. Kim runs the day to day business and is the main point of contact in the lead up to the wedding.

We are locals, we live on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales and absolutely love everything about it. I shoot weddings all over Australia but the Central Coast is where home and a place I love to photograph weddings. 

My philosophy and approach to photographing weddings is to document the day as naturally and candidly as possible. The day should be real and honest without contriving moments. I love shooting unobtrusively as it allows you to relax and be yourselves. It also allows me to capture spontaneous moments throughout the day and night. As well as your connection, because hey that’s what got you to this day in the first place.

I feel part of my job is to keep you guys relaxed and having fun. And a relaxed, happy couple makes for beautiful photos. With a great attitude and friendly demeanor, I am able to connect with couples and help them to feel natural and at ease while in front of the camera. 

If you look at my portfolio, you will see that I love sweeping landscapes and warm golden light. I love incorporating warm bursts of sun flare to that create dreamy and light filled images. The Central Coast delivers ample opportunities to create these images. With its stunning coastline, idyllic hinterland and bucolic pockets like the Yarramalong Valley.

I believe that capturing the small and simple elements of a wedding helps to truly represent a couple’s special day. Be it that special moment at a wedding, when you see each other for the first time. As you look into each others eyes as you say your wedding vows. Because it is all about the way you react to each other and the way your family and guests are taking in these moments. The laughter, the tears, all the feels. I am ready to capture each special moment of a couples big day. 

Additionally, I will naturally spend time documenting all of the décor and beautiful details found throughout day. From the rings, the dress and shoes at preparation. Images of the venue, the ceremony set up, as well as the cake, florals and reception details.

My photographs have been featured on various industry leading bridal blogs and in multiple wedding magazines. And we have had tons of happy couples over the years as can be seen in our testimonials and google reviews.

Central Coast Photography

The Central Coast region of NSW is located north of Sydney and has some of the most stunning beaches, parks and national parks. It is a huge area starting from the outskirts of Sydney, all the way up towards Newcastle. 

Some of our favourite wedding venues include Bells at Killcare, Linton Gardens and Kantara House. Also Terrigal has some beautiful locations to get married including Reef Restaurant and Crown Plaza Terrigal.

Firescreek Fruit winery and Distillery Botanica in Holgate are amazing places for a wedding ceremony or intimate elopement. Across the M1 you get the Stables of Somersby, Somersby Garden Estate and Glenworth Valley which are some of the Central Coasts best wedding venues.

Further north around Long Jetty and The Entrance, they have some of the Central Coasts most photographed locations, popular for wedding location photos and tourists alike.

Then inland the scenery changes completely from the sand and the sea to the country feel of the bush, trees and farms. Fernbank Farm & Yarramalong Farmstay are beautiful properties that are actually next-door neighbours. Other amazing farm properties in the Yarramalong Valley are Bebeah Farm and the Hillview all gorgeous wedding venues.

Soldiers Beach & Caves Beach are right in my backyard and some of my favourite places to photograph a wedding. Lake Munmorah Conservation Reserve is absolutely epic! And Point Wolstonecroft is probably the Central Coasts best-kept secrets as an amazing wedding venue. The most iconic place in my backyard is Norah Head Lighthouse, which is where I also take our dog and kids for a walk most days.

From the romantic venues in the bush to the incredible views over the South Pacific Ocean, the Central Coast has some of the worlds best wedding photography opportunities. And couples can get some breathtaking wedding photos.
