The Piggs Peake Winery wedding of Ellie & Alex was an all-around awesome wedding that finished off at their reception venue, Piggs Peake Winery.
This was my first time visiting Piggs Peake Winery for a wedding. I have been to many wedding venues in the Hunter Valley but I never really knew about this property.
Piggs Peake Winery is a boutique winery that has a reputation of twisting the rules of winemaking. And it seems to be working for them. When I arrived at their winery, the place was literally packed with people all tasting wines.
Piggs Peake Wedding Ceremony
There are a couple of options to choose from if you want to have your wedding ceremony at Piggs Peak Winery.
There is “The Courtyard”, which is a modern sandstone garden area. And there is “The Lake” area. As the name suggests, you would have the ceremony with the lake and bushland in the background.
Piggs Peake Wedding Reception
There are three options for a wedding reception at Piggs Peake and it really depends on your guests numbers and what style you are looking for.
Private Dining Room – is perfect for small intimate weddings that want a private area to dine in. It caters up to 30 guests.
Yellow Billy Restaurant – this restaurant is known for cooking over fire. They have a custom-made fire pit which they cook most of their food on. The restaurant can cater up to 60 guests and you can have your dancefloor outside in the courtyard.
The Barrel Room – this reception room really impressed me. It is a big beautiful space and it is located in an actual wine barrel room. This room can cater to between 40 and 120 guests. The photos below were from a wedding with approximately 100 guests.
There are two big things that really impressed me with this wedding venue. The amazing food and The Barrel Room. If you are looking for a Hunter Valley wedding venue that is a bit different with good food and a pretty amazing room, then a Piggs Peake winery wedding just might be for you.
