Central Coast Beach Wedding Locations

Central Coast Beach Wedding Locations

One of the most amazing features of the Central Coast for weddings is its huge coastline. There are 87 kilometres of beautiful sandy beaches, stretching in-between Sydney and Newcastle. There are 41 beaches and each of these beaches are better than any Sydney beach.

Many of these beaches are secluded and most of the time, you can have the beach to yourselves. The beaches and the outdoor lifestyle is why most Sydneysiders head up to the Coast every long weekend and holidays period. The only time I would avoid an outdoor beach wedding is during these periods. Avoid popular beaches during school holidays or summer weekends. If you do choose to do it at during these times, try to do it at sunrise or sunset. That way you avoid the heat of the day and most people will have left the beach. By doing it towards sunrise or sunset, you will also get much better and more flattering light for your wedding photos.

Booking one of these beaches is a relatively easy process. And yes, it is possible to have a wedding at any one of these beaches, but you will need a permit. To book a beach wedding on the Central Coast, you just need to contact the proper authority to get a permit and permission. This could be either:

  • The Central Coast Council
  • The National Park Rangers office
  • Or through the local surf club, depending on where on the beach you are wanting to do it.

Booking a Central Coast beach wedding is a very affordable wedding ceremony option. The fee is not that much when you consider the beautiful location that you could have.

One tip we’d like to share with you…. often the rocky areas at either end of the beaches are more secluded and can offer a more dramatic backdrop than the sandy beach itself. Depending on the area, the rocks can also be easier for you and your guests to stand on.
