Tamburlaine Organic Wines Wedding
Tamburlaine Organic Wines Wedding
The Tamburlaine Organic Wines wedding of Bianca & David was a beautiful wedding in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
Located right in the middle of ‘wine country’ in Pokolbin is a beautiful winery known as Tamburlaine Organic Wines. They seriously have some of the best-tasting wine in the country. We love their wines so if you haven’t tried it before, then get on it! And only do organic wine, which is even better for you and the environment. If you don’t know what organic wines are, it means, wine the comes from grapes grown without synthetic chemicals, pesticides or herbicides.
This awesome winery was founded in the year 1966. In 1985 a small group of friends and relatives led by Mark Davidson, Managing Director and Chief Winemaker, purchased the Hunter winery. Mark has built his long-term theory of winemaking around Modern Sustainable practises in the vineyard and winery. They have become one of Australia’s largest producers of organic wines with vineyards in the Hunter Valley and Orange regions of New South Wales.
Tamburlaine was named after the successful play and character ‘Tamburlaine the Great’ by Christopher Marlowe.
They also have a beautiful wedding venue where you can have your wedding ceremony, your wedding photos and the receptions. It is all located on the one property and it overlook lovely lake and the Hunter Valley countryside.
Tamburlaine Wedding
The wedding day of Bianca & David started off with wedding preparations at the nearby Cypress Lakes Resort. They both got ready at the same resort, just different villas which made preparation really convenient for everyone.
On the wedding day, Bianca & Dave had their wedding ceremony in the garden area. This is always a beautiful location. The big tall tree gives it a beautiful natural country feel made it a perfect location for a Hunter Valley garden ceremony.
Pro tip if you are considering a wedding ceremony here… I would position the ceremony the opposite way to how this particular wedding did it because of the light. They generally have the ceremony with the wedding venue as the backdrop. I would turn it around so the big tall trees are the backdrop.
If you position the ceremony the opposite way, facing the trees, then the light will be so much more even and less patchy on you. The sun is also filtered through the trees so it will give you nice warm light.

Tamburlaine Wines Wedding Photos
Tamburlaine Wines is a beautiful location for wedding photos and wedding photography. The winery is literally surrounded on every side by vineyards. There are vines as far as the eye can see. There are also lovely garden and lawn areas for photos.
My advice, if you are looking for the best time to take your wedding photos, is to aim for around the golden hour. The sun is lower in the sky and you can get some beautiful golden warm wedding photos. And if there is a little bit of cloud, you may even get one of those spectacular colourful sunsets that the Hunter Valley is famous for.
Tamburlaine Wedding Venue
Located at Tamburlaine Organic Wines is their wedding venue, “The Lodge”. The Lodge at Tamburlaine is located towards the front entrance to the property and overlooks a lake, vineyards and countryside.
As a wedding venue, Tamburlaine can accommodate weddings from 60 to 180 people. They have a big air-conditioned reception room and a huge deck which is perfect for those warmer summer weddings.
