I’ve written this list to help couples choose an awesome celebrant and also so that I can keep working with awesome Hunter Valley marriage celebrants more often.
When you start planning a wedding, it’s easy to get swept up in the flowers and dresses and fairy lights. But there’s one person who literally makes the whole thing official, and that’s your wedding celebrant. Without them, it’s just a very expensive dress-up party with cake.
If you’re getting married in the Hunter Valley, you’ve got access to some of the most warm, professional, hilarious, heartfelt, inclusive, and all-round incredible wedding celebrants in the country. The quality we have here is just amazing. These are the people who can stand up in front of your favourite humans and tell your story with just the right mix of emotion and personality… not too stiff, not too sappy, and never, ever awkward.
I haven’t worked with every celebrant, so just because the celebrant you are thinking of choosing isn’t on this list doesn’t mean they are not wonderful. Also, this is just my opinion… it’s more important that you choose a marriage celebrant that you connect with, who compliments your vision and personalities.
Many couples don’t realise that their celebrant can also step into the role of MC for the reception. Having the same person guide both parts of the day creates a seamless flow — they already know your story, your vibe and your guests.
