Hayley & Sean’s Bidja Estate Wedding

Hayley and Sean’s Bidja Estate Wedding was a relaxed day surrounded by countryside, rainforest and plenty of beautiful spots for photos. Bidja Estate is one of the more unique Central Coast wedding venues, with everything happening in the one location and a really private country setting.

Located at Ourimbah on the NSW Central Coast, Bidja Estate is a family-run wedding venue with rolling paddocks, gardens, rainforest and its distinctive red barn. As a Central Coast wedding photographer, it’s the sort of venue I love working at because there’s so much variety for photos without having to take couples away from their guests for ages.

Getting Ready at Bidja Estate

Hayley and Sean both got ready onsite, which always makes the start of a wedding day so much easier.

There’s no travelling between different houses or worrying about traffic. Everyone can settle in, get ready and enjoy the morning, while I can easily move between both sides and photograph everything as it happens.

Bidja has several accommodation options onsite, including its farmhouse and studio apartment, so couples can make much more of a weekend out of their wedding rather than everything being squeezed into a single day.

A Relaxed Central Coast Wedding

One of the things I really like about photographing a Bidja Estate Wedding is the variety around the property.

There are open paddocks, manicured gardens and rainforest areas, so you can get completely different-looking wedding photos without having to leave the venue.

We wandered around the property with Hayley and Sean for their photos, keeping things pretty relaxed and giving them plenty of time to actually enjoy the afternoon with their guests.

Reception in the Red Barn

The red barn is probably the most recognisable part of Bidja Estate and gives the reception a fun, rustic country feel. There’s also an open-air dance floor, which really suits the relaxed style of weddings held here.

It was a great place for Hayley and Sean to finish the day with their family and friends, with plenty of laughs, speeches and partying as the night went on.

Bidja Estate is a great option for couples looking for a Central Coast wedding venue that feels private, relaxed and a little different from a traditional function centre.

Hayley and Sean’s wedding was exactly that. A fun, easygoing day with everything happening in one place and plenty of great locations to explore for photos.
